Senior Full Stack Developer

The Changing Workplace build management tools supporting some of the biggest companies in the world. Our tools provide the operational capability and data insight that enable organisations to manage their buildings and optimise costs. The Corporate Real Estate industry is constantly changing requiring us to regularly iterate our approach to industry demands – from pushing development capabilities across the full stack to critically analysing new technologies, such as IoT and AI.
The Role

We are looking for an experienced Full Stack Developer (Laravel/Vuejs-centric) to help us scale and lead the implementation of the next generation of our products. As the senior developer, you will be leading the technical approach to problem solving, defining solutions alongside the head of development department, the infrastructure lead & Product Manager.

Working within an agile environment, you will be expected to take ownership for our technical direction, ensure technology alignment, produce solutions designs and support/mentor the development teams with understanding of the standards. You will work as part of an established team, with a proven track record of delivering solutions around the world.

Responsibilities:
  • Working with the development team to discuss, design and build software
  • Taking part of architecture and complex solution design sessions
  • Balancing technical debt and innovation
  • Deliver secure, performant, tested, working software in line with product requirements – solving the “hard problems”
  • Working with business teams to identify & solve issues with software
Essential skills:
  • Strong experience with PHP Laravel
  • Experience with databases, designing, query writing and optimisation
  • Experience with frameworks such as Vue JS, jQuery, Bootstrap, etc.
  • Experience with test driven development (TDD) and Unit Testing
  • Experience with REST Web Service APIs development
  • A good understanding of security practices and vulnerability analysis
  • Significant experience in execution of the full software development lifecycle (both traditional and agile)
  • Accountability – Ownership of quality, deliveries and issue resolution for the technical team.
  • Teamwork and Collaboration – High sense of ownership and urgency with experience of working-in and co-coordinating a team to get the job done and deliver upon the objectives and goals of the business
  • A positive and can-do attitude and high energy
Desirable skills:
  • Skills in responsive web design
  • Knowledge of accessibility
  • Knowledge of ElasticSearch
  • Familiar with agile methodology
Bonus skills:
  • Knowledge of CAD development
  • Knowledge of cloud platform such as Azure
  • Knowledge of app development for iOS and Android desirable
  • Knowledge of WPA
