The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a full-stack developer. You’ll be working as main point of contact for our helpdesk in term of BAU support and client releases. The primary function of the role is to respond in timely manner to client queries, providing resolution to a range of support requests related to the company’s products. Due to our diversity in term of stack, this position requires good frontend and backend skills, and also flexibility in boucing back from a stack to another, from a client to another.

You’ll be working mainly on your own with the support of the rest of our team to deliver client requests.

The Changing Workplace are looking for someone who has a passion for web development and technology in general and can demonstrate this to us. If you have a portfolio or a github account, we’d love to see it.


  • Fixing defects from production environment
  • Development of new small features
  • Maintaining existing products
  • Deliver secure, performant, tested, working software

Essential Skills

  • Good knowledge of Laravel
  • Good knowledge of modern Javascript (ES6/7) such as Vue, Vuex but also older framework such as requires and backbone
  • Good knowledge of the principles of relational databases and knowledge of SQL
  • Knowledge of modern build practices (Webpack, NPM, yarn etc.)
  • Skills in a server side scripting language such as PHP, Python
  • Good skills in HTML5, CSS and JavaScript
  • Strong problem solving and logical thinking
  • Able to speak and write in plain English

Desirable Skills

  • Understanding of the principles of RESTful web applications
  • Understanding of MVC and OO principles
  • Skills in responsive web design
  • Knowledge of accessibility
  • Knowledge of ElasticSearch
